DESIGNER SERVICES

Full service interior design

The first step in this important process is an in depth discussion with the client to determine their needs and desires. After an inventory of existing pieces (if any), and a review of the space or plans, a full presentation is prepared and presented– usually at the 652 Glenbrook Rd, Stamford, Ct. office. Depending on the scope of the project the presentation might address multiple options for furniture placement, fabrics, soft goods, case goods, reupholstery, window treatments (including blinds and shutters), hardware, paint colors, wallpaper, faux finishes, carpeting, bedding, lighting, art, antiques and accessories. The client will take home floor plans and fabric and carpeting samples to review. Plans are further refined or revised at subsequent meetings at the client’s home. Many of these items will be custom and require the usual 8-12 week lead time.

Frequently we are involved early on in the planning stages of the project and can contribute helpful suggestions to the architect from an interior design perspective. Projects can range in size and scope from a single room to an entire house.

Makeover

A unique aspect of Last Detail’s design business is the “makeover” phase. Equipped with a truckload of accessories, we fill in all of the gaps in a project with artwork, pillows, bookcase accessories, lamps, and more until the room looks complete. Clients then live with these accessories for a few days before deciding which they will purchase. This essential final phase is just another component of our distinctive design process that combines our expertise with the desires of satisfied clients. This service can also be useful to refresh and invigorate an existing interior, or to organize a move into a new home.
